Here is a video of how to do the Punnett Square practice worksheet from class. This will serve as a great reminder on how to do Punnett Squares, or if you happened to be absent and missed my help for this. I will walk you through a sample for each section, explaining as I go, and then I want you to pause the video while you complete the rest of the questions in that section. The worksheet that continues with Punnett Square practice works just the same way-except that you will need to write out your punnett squares and show your work for just about every remaining question, unless the question just asks for the genotype of the parents only. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Protein Synthesis Video
Welcome to Mrs. Anderson's Biology Blog! Here you can get extra help and resources for biology. We will be continuing in genetics, so there will be videos, activities, and helpful links provided for you. I want you to be successful in my class and hope you utilize these resources. Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions to add to our understanding on our genetics unit! Take a look at the video below. So far, we've discussed how cells divide, how cells join in fertilization to make new organisms and pass their genetics, and now we will be learning about protein synthesis. This video by The Amoeba Sisters will introduce you to how proteins are made, once the new organism has received their genes and have the code to make proteins.
Please check back soon for more information on codons and what these sets of 3 nitrogen bases code for! Translation will be our next topic, where we will practice using a codon chart.
